ODC vs Staff Augmentation vs GCC — which should we pick?

**Staff Aug** for short-term spike capacity (weeks-to-months). **ODC** for long-term dedicated capacity (1–5 years) without setting up your own entity. **GCC** when you want to build a permanent captive entity offshore. We help clients choose between all three.

Where are your offshore delivery hubs?

Yes. India late-shift overlaps USA East Coast. Kenya overlaps Europe. UAE overlaps Europe and Middle East. We pick the hub and shift pattern to match your business hours — full overlap, partial overlap or follow-the-sun. Mix engineers across hubs in a single pod if needed.

What's the typical team size for an ODC?

5–50+ engineers. Sweet spot is 8–15 engineers including a dedicated team lead. Below 5 is typically Staff Aug. Above 50 we usually recommend evaluating a GCC for long-term cost efficiency.

How fast can we ramp an ODC?

Standard ramp is 6–10 weeks from contract to fully-staffed team. Week 1–2 scoping, weeks 3–6 hiring and vetting (from our 420+ engineer pipeline), weeks 7–10 onboarding and integration with your codebase. First production commits typically in week 4.

How do you handle engineer attrition in an ODC?

Our overall retention is 90%+. On long-running ODC engagements, average engineer tenure is 2.5 years. If someone does leave, we backfill within 2 weeks with a 2-week shadow period where both engineers work together. You pay nothing for the overlap.

Who manages the ODC day-to-day?

A dedicated Redian delivery lead — embedded in your standups, accountable for delivery, attrition and quality. Your tech leadership sets direction; our lead executes. Quarterly business reviews with our founders. Single throat to choke.

Can we visit the ODC or have engineers visit us?

Both. Clients regularly visit Noida, Nairobi or Dubai (we arrange the hub tour, ODC walk-through and team time). We bring engineers on-site to your office quarterly or for key launches — visa, travel and accommodation all on our side; you pay only standard rate during the visit.
