What we deliver

Everything in the box.

Comprehensive scope — designed to remove the gaps where most engagements typically slip.

  • 01

    Native iOS

Swift, SwiftUI, Combine, CoreData. Biometrics, push notifications, App Clips, custom widgets. Built to the iOS HIG, not a port of an Android design.

  • 02

    Native Android

Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Room, WorkManager. Material 3, edge-to-edge, dynamic colour. Custom theming for brand-driven apps.

  • 03

    React Native / Flutter

Cross-platform when shared code beats per-platform. We honestly tell you which fits — sometimes that's native, sometimes not.

  • 04

    Security & compliance

Biometric auth, secure enclave / Android Keystore, certificate pinning, jailbreak/root detection, OWASP MASVS for BFSI apps.

  • 05

    Offline-first

Local SQLite/Realm/Hive databases. Conflict-resolved sync. Queue-and-retry actions. Critical for the markets we operate in.

  • 06

    Store release management

App Store Connect + Google Play Console under our care. Submission, review responses, rejection handling, staged rollouts.

Who hires us

Built for the way your team buys.

We've shaped this practice around the patterns we see most — match yours against the list.

  • Banks & insurers

Customer mobile banking, agent apps, broker quote-and-bind apps. Biometric auth, audit trails and regulator-aware features.

  • On-demand & marketplace

Two-sided apps with payments, mapping, identity, ratings. Built for the spike load and retention realities of consumer apps.

  • Field service

Technician scheduling, work-order management, offline-first sync. Built for connectivity-fragile markets across Africa and Asia.

  • Enterprise productivity

Internal apps for sales reps, claims handlers, field auditors — backed by your existing CRM or workforce systems.

  • AI-first consumer apps

GenAI agents and copilots on mobile — chat, voice, document intelligence wrapped in a native shell.

  • Healthcare & wellness

HIPAA-aware patient apps, clinical productivity, intake automation — with the security controls regulators expect.

Our process

How an engagement unfolds.

Service overview

In depth — how this practice runs.

The long-form view of what we build, how we sequence it, and the stacks we run.

Mobile that lives past launch day

Most mobile apps ship, get an installation spike, and quietly disappear from home screens inside two weeks. We build mobile apps that earn their spot — performance, polish and feature depth that keeps users opening them across 4+ year roadmaps.

What we deliver

  • Native iOS — Swift, SwiftUI, Combine, CoreData, push notifications, biometrics, App Clips.
  • Native Android — Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Room, WorkManager, Material 3, custom theming.
  • Cross-platform — React Native and Flutter where shared code beats per-platform without compromising native feel.
  • Mobile-first design — accessibility (WCAG AA), dark mode, motion, haptics, custom design systems.
  • Performance & observability — startup time, frame rate, crash-free sessions tracked per release.
  • Release management — App Store Connect, Google Play Console, staged rollouts, beta tracks, A/B testing.

Where we have shipped

  • Banking & financial services — secure customer apps with biometrics, mobile banking, agency banking field apps.
  • Insurance — broker quote-and-bind apps, claims FNOL, customer policy wallets.
  • Field service — technician scheduling, work order, offline-first synchronisation.
  • Consumer & on-demand — marketplaces, loyalty, content apps.

How we engineer it

  • Offline-first for connectivity-fragile markets (we operate across Africa and Asia).
  • Single design system across iOS and Android — pixel-aligned, brand-consistent.
  • CI/CD with Codemagic, Bitrise or Fastlane; signed builds on every PR.
  • Security from day one — pinning, secure storage, jailbreak detection, OWASP MASVS.

When to pick native vs cross-platform

We are honest about this trade-off. If your app needs deep platform-specific UX (Apple Wallet, custom widgets, ARKit) or your team will be 50/50 iOS/Android specialists long-term, native wins. If you need to ship two stores fast with a small team and a shared design system, React Native or Flutter is the right answer. We will tell you which fits.

Why Redian

What makes us different.

Independent reasons clients pick us over Big-4 firms, boutique agencies and offshore vendors.

  • Both worlds, honestly

We do native iOS, native Android, React Native and Flutter. We pick what fits your team, your roadmap and your UX needs — not what's trendy.

  • BFSI-grade security

Biometrics, secure enclave, pinning, jailbreak detection, OWASP MASVS. Production mobile in regulated industries since 2017.

  • Connectivity-fragile by default

Offline-first with conflict-resolved sync. The markets we operate in (Africa, parts of Asia) don't have perfect networks.

  • Performance targets in contract

Startup time, frame rate, crash-free session rate written into the spec. We don't ship a release that breaks the budget.

Native (Swift/Kotlin) vs cross-platform (React Native/Flutter) — which should we pick?

Native if you need deep platform-specific UX (Apple Wallet, ARKit, custom widgets) or you have a 50/50 iOS/Android team long-term. Cross-platform if you need to ship two stores fast with a small team. We'll tell you which fits — see our [React Native](/expertise/mobile/react-native) and [Flutter](/expertise/mobile/flutter) practices.

How long does a mobile app take to build?

MVP: 8–12 weeks. Full production app with backend, admin, analytics and store submission: 4–6 months. Enterprise app (banking, insurance) with regulatory controls: 6–9 months. We ship to TestFlight / Play Internal in week 2 so you can see real progress.

Do you handle App Store and Play Store submission?

Yes — we own the submission, review responses, rejection handling, staged rollouts and update releases. Most of our clients give us their App Store Connect / Play Console access and we manage releases on their behalf.

What about offline mode and intermittent connectivity?

Critical for the markets we operate in (Africa, parts of Asia). We build offline-first by default — local SQLite/Realm/Hive databases, conflict-resolved sync to backend, queue-and-retry for actions taken offline. Your users keep working when the network doesn't.

Can you build banking and insurance apps with security & compliance?

Yes — we have shipped production mobile apps for banks, microfinance institutions, brokers and insurers. Biometric auth, secure enclave / Android Keystore, certificate pinning, jailbreak/root detection, OWASP MASVS compliance, regulator-aware audit logs.

What about performance and crash rates?

We track startup time, frame rate, ANR rate and crash-free sessions per release through Firebase / Sentry. Our standard target is 99.5%+ crash-free sessions in production. We don't ship a release that breaks the budget.

Do you build wearable, TV or watch apps?

Apple Watch and Wear OS where they extend the main app — typically as a Phase 2 add-on. Apple TV and Android TV apps when the product needs them. Not our core focus, but we have shipped both.

Can you take over an existing mobile app codebase?

Yes — about 30% of our mobile engagements are takeovers. We start with a 1-week codebase audit (architecture, debt, test coverage, security), then propose a stabilisation plan before adding features. Most takeover apps stabilise inside the first sprint.
